It's that time of the year again, when Nova Scotia trees are laden with fruit and the fields are yielding their generous bounty of fresh vegetables. For these ladies at the Acadian Museum in West Pubnico, it's time to put up some preserves. Plums, fresh from a tree in a neighbours yard, are being pitted and will soon be turned into jam. This type of activity will become commonplace around the province in the coming weeks and I'll keep busy with my camera as farm markets spring up at roadside and those giant pumpkins made famous in the Annapolis Valley make their appearance.
