Our annual Leaf Watch keeps track of where the leaves look their most colourful and give us inspiration to head out in search of the best fall has to offer. From to a day trip to the Annapolis Valley to pick apples or a weekend getaway to drive the Cabot Trail, there's no shortage of things to do in fall.

The Beach, Peace and Tranquility

Off we went to Margaree Harbour Beach with our youngest, our Spike (dog) and I for an evening of relaxation. You can't imagine walking in the cool sand, watching the waves roll in and finding the neatest looking driftwood. There are lots of great shaped looking rocks to climb and a sunset that is worth more than one can put into words.

Golf - Not at all what I expected!

We went on a beautiful sunny day last August, and it was fairly quiet on the greens. We'd missed the morning rush and the evening crowd. Ben and D tried to show me the ropes, so to speak. Knees bent, head down, follow through - all the usual advice. I had other plans... My version of golf (for the first few holes) was to whack the ball as hard as I could and see what direction it went in.
