Hikers like to relax a little bit in the evening and there is no better way on Cape Breton Island but going to a ceilidh. Have you heard - there is a new ceilidh on the island that is attracting a lot of interest. Seafood Ceilidhs are held monthly during the summer at the Gaelic College, St. Ann's. Great food and music make this evening event one not to miss.

The first seafood ceilidh of the year was held recently at the Gaelic College, St. Ann's. Rachel Davis and Buddy MacDonald performed (see above) while the audience enjoyed some great seafood. The seafood included mussels, lobster quiche, smoked salmon, crab dip and tortilla chips. Do I have you interested?

You are in luck - there are two more seafood ceilidhs scheduled this summer - Friday July 23 with Darrel Keigan & Stewart MacDonald, and Wednesday and August 25 with Melody & Derrick Cameron with special guests Lisa & Vernon Cameron.

Seafood ceilidhs begin at 7:00 pm. at the Great Hall of Clans, Gaelic College, St. Ann's. Hope to see you there....
