Cruising across the Bay of Fundy

I'm a Pisces so that may explain why I'm always keen to get near, in and on the water!

dock.jpgThis week I had the perfect chance to be on the water: we hosted some travel writers aboard the Fundy Ferry that traverses the mouth of the Bay of Fundy from Saint John, New Brunswick, to Digby, Nova Scotia. The trip is only 3 hours and enables folks to make a loop around the Bay in both provinces without backtracking.

rose.jpgI love this ship, The Princess of Acadia...it's one of those nice solid, clean & bright ferries with plenty of viewing decks fore and aft (as well as Starbucks coffee & internet on board). Above is a view off the bow as we were about to dock in Digby. I spent 6 hours aboard this week, going from Digby to Saint John and back.

The image on the left is Rose from the New Brunswick Museum doing their on-board interpretive program during the daily cruises: the theme is Bay of Fundy, of course!

Hi Terri,

That sounds like a fantastic voyage that you took on The Princess of Acadia.

I hope to do that one day with my husband and son.

We live in Winnipeg, Manitoba but my best friend has lived in Coldbrook, NS with her family for a number of years now. I get out to visit about every four years.

I look forward to hearing more about your adventures.

Thanks.
