Here on Bay of Fundy we're daily afforded a rare opportunity of nature: the ability to walk on the ocean floor while the tide is out. The sub-surface terrain here can be sandy, smooth, rocky, seaweedy or muddy (or various combinations). My hands-down favorite is mud: I like the way it skooshes underfoot but I also like the way it refracts light, such as in this recent ocean floor view of upper Fundy at sunset.
Here is the low tide ocean floor at its finest; the view from Five Islands Provincial Park looking west to Cape Split and Two Islands (near Parrsboro). Elements perfect for a photo: the sunset view of a pebble beach, a serpentine tidal river, two island-sized sandbars and lotsa glorious mud.
