"We're a bunch of friends who all happen to work at a resort property in Baddeck, Cape Breton. We love the Cabot Trail and on our days off we like to get out and experience all the things there are to see and do!"
Off we went to Margaree Harbour Beach with our youngest, our Spike (dog) and I for an evening of relaxation. You can't imagine walking in the cool sand, watching the waves roll in and finding the neatest looking driftwood. There are lots of great shaped looking rocks to climb and a sunset that is worth more than one can put into words.
This walk follows the brook all the way to the end and the sound of the water takes all your cares away! When you finally make your way to the end the view is amazing! There is not one but two waterfalls that await you.
We went on a beautiful sunny day last August, and it was fairly quiet on the greens. We'd missed the morning rush and the evening crowd. Ben and D tried to show me the ropes, so to speak. Knees bent, head down, follow through - all the usual advice. I had other plans... My version of golf (for the first few holes) was to whack the ball as hard as I could and see what direction it went in.
It was a sunny Saturday, and the great crew at the Silver Dart Lodge had things under control, so I decided to take in a round of golf. We are blessed in Cape Breton with many beautiful golf courses.
One day my Mom & Dad (he's the good looking guy in the pictures) were exploring the Cabot Trail and they took me to a great little spot called Black Brook Beach!
